Prepare To Sell Your House
Clean up. Get rid of clutter. Fix up. Oxford can help you put your best foot forward when prospective purchasers come to look at your house.
Have a home inspection before you sell. Find out what potential problems exist before a purchaser sees them. This will give you the opportunity to correct problems before they become issues that can delay or even kill a contract of sale. Oxford can recommend Certified Home Inspectors who will provide this service.
Have the title searched. If there are any title issues, they can substantially delay a real estate closing. If you know about them in advance, you would probably be able to get them resolved before they become problems. Oxford’s title division, Oxford Title & Settlement Agency, Inc. can provide a title search for you at a reasonable cost and Oxford can then help you resolve many of the issues that might arise.
Talk to your lawyer. Make sure your lawyer will be able to represent you in connection with the sale and will be available to review to review the contract. Oxford will cooperate fully with your attorney and we will do everything in our power to assist in the closing process.
