According the Greater Capital Association of Realtors (GCAR), as reported in the Capital District Business Review, the median price of homes in New York's Capital Region appears to be rising based on statistics released in July for June, 2010.  In Albany County the median price was up 4 percent, to $209,700.  In Rensselaer County the median price remained substantially unchanged at $171,900.  In Saratoga County; the median price was up 5 percent to $253,500, and in Schenectady County, the median price was up 13 percent to $165,000.

Sales in the month of June also increased by a whopping 34% over June, 2009, but this was strongly influenced by the Federal Tax Credits. For more information, check out the article in The Business Review (Albany).
